Samuel H. Grant III & T. Zea Leguizamon Grant

Sam has been a community organizer and social justice activist since 1985 - consistently weaving work around the intersections of cultural, economic and environmental justice. He is a co-founder of many organizations, including the Organizing Apprenticeship Project (www.oaproject.org), the Wendell Phillips Community Development Federal Credit Union (www.citycountyfcu.org after merger in 2001) and the Green Institute Eco-Industrial Park (www.greeninstitute.org) in the 1990s.  Among his continuing efforts, he is also a co--founder of Full Circle Community Institute, the Grassroots Public Policy Institute, the Twin Cities LISC-Metropolitan State University Careership Program, and Afro-Eco. See more info on these on our links page. Sam holds an MS and an MA in Community Economic Development,
and a BA with triple major in biology, environmental studies, and philosophy of social science. 
He is certified practitioner in Human Systems Dynamics.
 
Zea is an artist and social justice healing activist. She has spent the last 5 years developing the field of "Social Somatics", and is now preparing to test this in the fire of global conflict hot spots. Her life's work is now culminating in this new inter-disciplinary modality that helps social justice networks accelerate creative, healing and deeply democratic social change. Zea is a Certified Global Somatics Practitioner, completing in MA in Conflict Facilitation and Organizational Change.
